Welcome to Crathie Primary School’s Website

Our School

Crathie Primary School is a small, non-denominational school serving a rural community made up from Abergeldie, Balmoral and Invercauld Estates and the village of Crathie. Set in the heart of Royal Deeside, we are surrounded by some of the most beautiful scenery in Scotland.

The buildings are traditional style and the original building was built during Queen Victoria’s reign and opened in 1873.   There are three classrooms and a small servery where lunches, which are delivered each day from Ballater Primary School, are eaten.   Outside there is a large playground with grass, tarred and woodland areas.  There is also a playing field adjacent to the school and the local Church Hall is used for PE and some school functions.

At present the pupils are enrolled in a composite class of Primary 1 to Primary 7 pupils.
